The Client
We are looking for a MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a highly successful Tier 1 M&E Contractor. This role is based in Newton Abbot and successful candidates should have good prior experience within a commercial role in the building services sector.
The Role and its Responsibilities
As a MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be working alongside the project delivery team and be proficient in the following areas:
- Ensure the contractual control and cost management of projects across different sectors.
- Exposure to the full project lifecycle with involvement across pre-construction through to project delivery.
- Management of the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement to interim and final account agreement Involvement with the final account negotiation to ensure the best possible outcome.
- Able to assess contract risk and work with the delivery team to develop and manage mitigation plans.
- Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
- Liaise with clients, contractors and subcontractors to ensure the project budget requirements are met
The Individual
Ideally you will have experience from a similar role within the construction industry and be proficient in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel. Transferable skills always a bonus!

- Degree qualified
- Able to demonstrate strong communication and organisational abilities.
