Our client is looking to expand their commercial team and have a Senior Quantity Surveyor role available in North Manchester. The company are market leaders in the design and production of specialist security doors and have clients worldwide. 

The Role and its Responsibilities

• Commercial support
• Leadership of commercial team
• Guidance and development of project staff
• Ensure cost, quality and delivery are achieved
• Tender production
• Risk identification and management
• Cover the Commercial Manager in his absence
• Contract management
• Payment and receipt control
• Recovery of debts
• Report production and management
• Development of junior team members
• Compliance to company procedures and procedures

The Individual

The company is looking for a positive team leader who can prioritise tasks and negotiate effectively. Your work should display excellent attention to detail and you should be able to ensure good communications and relationships between departments and clients. 

Skills and Qualifications

• 5 years' experience at Senior QS level or 10 years' experience in a QS role
• Degree qualified
• Sound knowledge of construction / civil / M&E installations
• Various contractual knowledge to include extensive knowledge of NEC contracts
• Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and drawings
• IT literate to include spreadsheets and Microsoft Office

Salary and Package

£52-58K plus company package to include pension and Gainshare scheme.
