Senior Bid Manager – North-West

Mech Electrics are seeking two highly skilled and experienced Senior Bid Managers to join our clients dynamic team. The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the bid process for high-value projects within the building services and renewable energies sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Bid Management: Lead the entire bid process from initial expression of interest through to contract award, ensuring all submissions are high quality, compliant, and delivered on time.
Strategy Development: Develop and implement winning bid strategies that align with the company’s business objectives and market trends.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, clients, and partners, to gather essential information and ensure alignment throughout the bid process.
Proposal Writing: Produce compelling, clear, and concise bid documentation, including executive summaries, technical proposals, and financial models.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the bid process and proposed solutions.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities.
Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior members of the bid team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and success rate of the bid process.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Background: Degree qualified in a relevant field
Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in bid management within the building services sector. Experience in the renewable energies sector is highly desirable.
Project Management: Proven track record in managing complex, high-value bids and proposals.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of building services engineering, energy solutions, and renewable energy technologies.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver results under pressure.
IT Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and bid management software.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: £58-62,000 per annum.
