The Client

Our client have an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in North Manchester. They are looking for a candidate who has 5 years' experience and who is a member of RICS, or is working towards. The company are a market leader in their field of design, manufacture and installation of engineering doorsets and have the experience to offer completeley individual items for their varying clients.  

The Role and its Responsibilities

• Control of income / expenditure
• Maintenance of contract documentations, report etc.
• Production of monthly reports
• Contract compliance
• Monitoring of programme
• Stakeholder relationship maintenance
• Support Sales and Estimating
• Contract set up to comply with requirements
• Sub-contract administration
• Risk and opportunity management
• Managing payments 
• Relationship building and maintenance with internal and external teams
• Sub-contractor administration

The Individual

The role of Quantity Surveyor will require a candidate who can communicate effectively with peers, management and clients. You must be able to work to deadlines and be able to manage workloads effectively. 

Skills and Qualifications

• HND / Degree Qualified
• Member of RICS (or working towards)
• CSCS card
• Sound contractual knowledge – JCT / NEC / ICHEME
• Understanding of Construction Law
• Excellent numeracy skills and IT literacy (including Microsoft Office proficiency)
• Estimation and cost analysis experience 

Salary and Package

£35-45K per annum plus pension and Gainshare scheme. The company will also provide routine appraisals, performance based KPI's and peer feedback.
