The Client

Our client who are based in the Greater Manchester area, are a market leader in the field of security, steel doors and provide bespoke solutions throughout the UK and worldwide. They require a Project Engineer to work from their Bolton offices and you will be responsible for the preparation, organising and monitoring of the engineering projects. This will be a client facing role and you will be the link between the Engineering and Project Management teams. 

The Role and its Responsibilities

• Assist with successful completion of engineering projects
• Supporting of designers
• Reduction of risks to project
• Produce technical reports
• Ensure quality 
• Compliance to standards
• Ensure good working relationships 
• Audit reviews
• Identify commercial, technical, scheduling and contractual changes 
• Produce progress reports
• Implement changes for best practice on projects
• Manage sub-contractors

The Individual

• Strong communication skills for this client facing role
• willing to travel when required
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing
• Good document production skills
• Critical thinking 
• Attention to detail

Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical and Production Biased Engineering discipline
• 0-3 years experience in a large company
• Client liaison experience
• NEC3 experience or similar is desirable
• CEMAR experienced
• SC cleared
• Negotiation skills
• Conflict management experience
• AWE experience and APM training/qualification preferred

Salary and Package

£30-35K plus pension and holiday
