The Client

Our client is a leading force within the world of engineering and construction and since their establishment in 1889 they have grown continuously to their current UK wide status. In addition to general construction, their chief area of expertise is M&E services and they have been involved in countless prestigious projects throughout the UK. Providing turnkey solutions including design, procurement, installation and maintenance across a diverse range of sectors and they currently require an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to work within the Yorkshire region. Your initial task would be to work on a significent residential project in Leeds city centre with the strong potential of their winning the next phase, meaning work will be secured there for the next few years.

The Role and its Responsibilities

• To support the project mechanically from 'cradle to grave'
• Providing technical support to testing operatives
• Inspections of installations and site
• Checking and final sign off of installations 
• Organizing site teams
• Working to H&S regulatory standards
• Attending meetings on projects
• Management of sub-contractors

The Individual

A suitable candidate should have extensive experience in a Mechanical Site Manager or Supervisor role and will have worked their way up from the tools. The role needs a confident individual who can work in a sometimes-pressurised environment, a team player and leader! You must be organised and motivated and be able to lead your team effectively.

Skills and Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering qualifications
• SSSTS/SMSTS
• Knowledge of current H & S legislation

Our client is offering an excellent package of £45-50K plus company benefits and a car allowance.
