The Client
Mech Electrics are currently working on behalf of our client, a major M&E contractor, to secure a Senior Project Manager for a significant new build project near York. The are happy to interview candidates from either a Mechanical or electrical background as long as you have building services experience. Major project experience would also be desirable!
The Role and its Responsibilities
- Management of project from procurement to final commissioning and handover stage
- Work alongside the commercial teams
- Management of sub-contractors
- Cost scheduling
- Engineering programming
- Design and compliance
- Assuming full responsibility for all M&E works
- Competent management of large teams
- Working to time and budget constraints
- The overseeing of sub-contractors, their working standards and compliance
- Production of costings, billings and progress reports
- Health and Safety compliance
- Commercial awareness
The Individual
Our client is looking for an individual who is confident and has excellent communication skills as you will be representing the company at various meetings through the time frame of various projects. A self-motivated individual, you must be able to effectively manage your team whilst maintaining the highest of standards of the work produced.
Skills and Qualifications
- IT literate
- HNC qualification in Building Services Engineering or equivalent
Salary and Package
£70-80K per annum including car/allowance and excellent company benefits
