The Client

Our client is a family run business established in 2008 in North Wales. They have grown considerably over the last 10 years and provide a complete Mechanical & Electrical design package, working on specialist care homes, residential and commercial builds.

The Role and its Responsibilities

  • Resource allocation (direct and sub-contract)
  • Leading projects from inception through to completion
  • Placing and procuring subcontract orders
  • Liaising with site management and senior personnel
  • Review and approve Timesheets
  • Integration within the projects team to ensure collaborative working,
  • Day to day management of labour resources
  • Site surveys covering new and existing installations
  • Health and Safety planning and management
  • Preparation of Method Statements and Risk Assessment
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with clients
  • Frequently report on project spend against budget.
  • Working with the finance team to ensure applications for payment are completed
  • Procurement of materials and specialist sub-contractors
  • Tendering and estimating for new works

The Individual

The ideal candidate would be able to work on both design and build, and predesigned projects, ranging from anywhere between the value of £10,000 – £5million. You will be required to manage various projects across the business, including labour control, sub-contractor management and procurement.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A sound knowledge of the M&E industry, particularly Mechanical installations & drawings
  • Excellent technical/problem solving ability
  • Have proven Project Management experience
  • Able to work alone or within a team to deliver multiple projects
  • Work effectively under pressure and to set deadlines
  • Have proficient knowledge of MS Office packages
  • C&G or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
  • Health & Safety related qualification
  • Project Management qualification

Salary and Package

£48-55K plus company benefits and car/allowance
