The Client

Our client are a UK wide construction and regeneration group who work on major projects within infrastructure, D&B, construction and refurbishment. They are looking to recruit a Mechanical Project Manager for a contract role based in the Barrow area. In the role you will be required to oversee the M&E sub-contractors on behalf of the main contractor and you will be reporting into the senior management. 

The Role and its Responsibilities

• Overseeing the day to day running of the project 
• Assuming full responsibility for the Mechanical works 
• Management of projects from procurement to final commissioning and handover stage
• Work alongside the commercial teams
• Management of sub-contractors
• Cost scheduling
• Engineering programming 
• Design and compliance
• Competent management of large teams
• Working to time and budget constraints
• The overseeing of sub-contractors, their working standards and compliance
• Production of costings, billings and progress reports
• Health and Safety compliance
• Commercial awareness

The Individual

The client are looking for a competent candidate who has excellent communication and negotiation skills whilst maintaining high standards of work. 

Skills and Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent qualification
• IT experienced
• Excellent organisational skills

Salary and Package 

The client is offering a competitive day rate of £380-400.
