Our client is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Project Engineer who can start on a traditional D&B project in York and then continue on projects within the Leeds area. They deliver fully project managed M&E services throughout the UK and have many individual offices that can provide local expertise to their workforces. They provide tailor made projects within varied sectors of the M&E field, particularly within the areas of hotel and student accomodations, and have strong supply chain relationships which help ensure good value and high quality builds.
The Role and its Responsibilities
Successful record of co-ordination, delivery, and handover of projects.
Excellent supply chain knowledge and contacts
Management of site staff, both company and sub-contractors
Ability to read schematics and interpret these effectively
Work within time and budget constraints
Up to date on Industry Health and Safety
Reporting to Project Manager and working alongside the Electrical Site Team
Commercial awareness to guarantee customer satisfaction
Industry legislation knowledge
Ability to form and maintain good working relationships
The Individual
You must be a great team worker and be able to communicate effectively with your colleagues to enable the smooth running of projects. The successful applicant will have worked in a similar role for some time, giving them an in-depth knowledge of the industry regarding supply chains, legislations, and sub-contractors.
Skills and Qualifications
HNC level qualification in Building Services Engineering, or equivalent
Experience in a similar role
CSCS card
Salary and Package
£42-46K per annum plus company benefits and car/allowance
