The Client

Our client is an established MEP Contractor, who has delivered MEP projects with values in excess of £25M. 

They are a National company, with several regional offices and in each locality have a full complement of support with estimating, design, pre construction, buying and a raft of operational support when site based. 

The Role

We are assisting the recruitment of a Mechanical Engineer. The role will report to an Electrical Project Manager and you will be responsible for delivering the mechanical services to a 14 storey building. 

There is a sizeable amount of plant that can be procured via off site manufacturing and you are joining at the design stage of the project. The building is a typical office lay out, risers, dry risers, fan coil units, H&CW, landlord areas, water tanks etc. 

You will need to meet the programme deadlines, provide support and technical knowledge to the external design team and will procure all major plant and sub contractors on the project. 

Excellent Health & Safety is paramount, you will adopt the companies policies and ensure they are met and robustly adhered to. 

The Person

You must be able to demonstrate an engineering career to date that has been in the built environment. Our client has a specific need for a stand alone engineer, who will be completely in control of the mechanical installation. You will have mechanical supervision on site, managing both in house labour and the appointed sub contractors.  

You will be an excellent team leader and communicator. You must recognise quality, client management and be able to lead from the front on all mechanical services.
