The Client

 

Our client is a £180 Million M&E Business operating out of 4 Regional Offices as the UK’s pre-eminent design-led Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) provider. They specialise in the design and installation of building services and infrastructure solutions. Having successfully worked on a number of prestigious contracts in the UK and Scotland, our client is viewed as the pre-eminent supplier of building services and are BIM 2 level accredited. 

The client delivers bespoke, design-led cost efficient solutions optimised for the whole construction team, by maximising off-site manufacture in their production facility, and delivering their solutions which minimise onsite resources and interfaces assuring quality and customer satisfaction in a measurable, safe way every time.

 

The Role & its Responsibilites

 

The company is looking for a Mechanical Estimator who can bring the following attributes to the position:

  • Ensure that all estimating processes and procedures are followed to deliver a submission following tender settlement
  • Work with surveyors in preparation of quantified schedule of rates and bill of quantities
  • Produce labour gangs through experience working with the Chief Estimator, Regional Estimators and Senior Estimators
  • Prepare tender summaries and attend start-up pre-price and price meetings

 

The Individual

 

Our client is looking for a qualified Estimator with M&E experience in the Construction industry along with design, cost planning and bid management skills.

To be successful in the role you will have the ability to understand and use bid tactics and excellent communication skills.

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of 'Estimation' software is necessary, and a good understanding of Building Regulations is preferred.
  • AutoCAD experience
  • HNC/HND or equivalent Building Services Qualification.
