The Client 

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Project Engineer for our North-West based client and they are interested in an individual who is prepared to travel throughout the UK for upcoming projects. Initially this position will be based in Westminster, London installing heat pumps on approximately 20 high value sites. We have worked extensively with this client for over a decade and they have a full order book of works throughout the UK and are offering a very favourable package with accommodation, travel and daily subsistence included. 

The Role and its Responsibilities

  • Liaising with the in house design team when required
  • Install of individual heat pumps, including pipework modifications (size range from 20kw to 600kw)
  • Management of all subcontractors involved on sites
  • Integration of pumps with existing systems
  • Careful consideration given to environments as some sites are listed
  • Management with a specialist subcontractor of the installation of acoustic enclosures and structural steelworks to suit designs 
  • The Individual

    As the heat pumps have to be in place by early 2022 for the project completion in March 2022, the role requires a proficient Mechanical Project Engineer who can run multiple sites effectively. The client is looking for a dynamic, level headed individual who excells in a client facing role and can manage all site subcontractors. You will be working alongside the Electrical Engineer and so will need to be an excellent team player in order to maximise the success of the project. You must be prepared to travel and lodge throughout the UK for future projects.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Educated to HNC/HND level in Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
    • CSCS card

    Salary and Package

    Our client is offering an enhanced rate of up to £65K plus lodgings and travel and a daily subsistence.
