Our client is a prestigious M&E services provider offering award winning tailormade packages for their customers. Covering all areas within the M&E field, from design to installation, they excel at providing cost effective, bespoke solutions for projects. Primarily based in the North-West but now with offices nationwide our client can offer excellent prospects to a suitable candidate. They have previously worked on major developments throughout the UK and are showing no signs of slowing down with a full order book for the near future!

 

The Role and its Responsibilities

 

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer with one of the most highly regarded M&E contractors in our field. The postion will be a Manchester based permanent role working on a new build Hotel with a £4M M&E value. The project will commence in March 2019 and our client is looking to appoint in January with a view that the right person can join the team and be involved with the procurement, design, engineering and appointment of sub-contractors etc. 

  • Interpretation of Mechanical designs along with the technical ability to create and adapt this information.
  • Successful record of co-ordination, delivery, and handover of projects.
  • Management of budget and timeframes of works.
  • Overseeing of Health and Safety throughout works.
  • Work successfully alongside the Electrical Project Engineer and produce regular progress reports for the Project Manager
  • Attend meetings when required.
  • Management of sub-contractors, suppliers and materials and confident support of site teams.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels on major projects

 

The Individual

 

Our client is looking for a flexible candidate who is motivated to do well in their role and they are keen to offer support and ongoing training to a candidate who is passionate in their work.

You must be a good team worker and be able to communicate effectively with your colleagues to enable the smooth running of projects. 
The successful applicant will have worked in a similar role for some time, giving them an in-depth knowledge of the industry regarding supply chains, legislations and sub-contractors.

You must display proficiency at working on designs at the initial and ongoing phases to improve the results for both client and company, contributing to a more financially sound outcome for all parties.

Commercial awareness will help the candidate make a success of this role.

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

HNC or equivalent in Building Services Engineering.

 

Salary and Package

 

£44-48500 including healthcare, pension and car/allowance
