The Client

Working within a built environment throughout the UK our client offers a full M&E engineering service, from the design period through to the ongoing maintenance of their projects. As they work within a varied range of sectors the company has an excellent project portfolio and has provided numerous innovative and succesful solutions for their customers, both locally and nationally. The are currently recruiting for an M&E Quantity Surveyor to work within the North-West. 

The Role and its Responsibilities

  • Accurate checking of all contract documentation including the T&C’s to ensure a successful completion of the project.
  • Producing of the commercial risk register for all contracts including monitoring of these risks and assisting with agreed mitigated measures.
  • Preparation and issue for equipment and sub-contract packages.
  • Quote analysis, negotiation of these prices and terms alongside the issuing of purchase orders and subsequently the submitting payments.
  • Variation measuring with contractual measures to ensure final account agreement.
  • Meeting attendance, record keeping, and monthly costings will all be required.
  • Invoice payments alongside the Finance Department.

The Individual

The successful applicant must have excellent communication skills as well as having the required numeracy and financial skills. You must be able to negotiate well within a building services environment, be able to prioritize your workload and be able to handle difficult accounts with confidence.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree qualified and on the job QS experience 
  • PC literate with experience of relevant software packages
  • NEC contract working knowledge

Salary and Package

£45-50 K plus car/allowance and company benefits
