We recruit for mechanical and electrical contractors in the built environment and have done so at Mech Electrics for over 11 years. This business we are recruiting for are after a Contracts Manager that will visit and manage sites but not be based on any one continuously. 

Each site managed will have its own Project Manager and team and report to you the Contracts Manager. As required, you will be travelling throughout Yorkshire and the North East, making time for each project and spending time with the current and prospective clients, sub-contractors, architects and supply chain of the business. You will work with the teams taking new projects to site, you will have excellent skills in organising a project start up, examining the design and ensuring the engineering is robust, and ideally go to site with the job bought, suppliers and sub-contractors engaged, value engineering applied and the project be really to install on the date agreed with the Main Contractor. 

The company has a good order book of projects, both on site now and coming to site. A lot of work is with contractors who our client regularly partners with and relationships between businesses are excellent. You will work with the Pre-Construction and bid team and be involved with tenders for new work, meeting with prospective contractors and being able to demonstrate the companies ability to deliver M&E projects giving insight into how the jobs can be best engineered and delivered on time and to budget. 

Our client is looking for someone who is an established Contracts Manager or a Senior Project Manager who already manages more than one project. You will have worked for businesses in the built environment, show promotion through your employment and examples of project completions is essential.
