The Client

Our client, a thriving specialist M&E Contractor, is looking for a permanent Health & Safety Manager to join their business and to work on a 2 year project in Sunderland. Affiliated to a large company who specialise in clean rooms, our client benefits from an existing framework with their parent company and has many pre-existing clients.  The successful candidate should be an experienced Health & Safety Manager with a high level of relevant knowledge gained from time spent within a building services environment. 

The Role and its Responsibilities

• To provide and maintain safe systems of work across all sites, monitoring compliance with all legal bodies and regulatory requirements relating to health, safety and the environment
• Developing both internal policies and strategies
• Investigate/record incidents/complaints
• Carrying out risk assessments, site inspections and working with the management team to uphold a positive health and safety environment
• Conduct yourself in a professional matter at all times ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures and protocols
• Submit any relevant reports or other such associated documents in accordance with protocols and attend regular meetings to maintain communication with senior management.

The Individual

You will have the ability to work well with project teams to oversee successful M&E installation projects from 'cradle to grave' within clean room environments.You should be able to maintain good relationships at all times with clients and colleagues.

Skills and Qualifications

• NEBOSH General or Construction
• Full valid driving license

Salary and Package 

£48-50K per annum plus car/allowance, company benefits
