Our client, a thriving M&E Contractor, based in Macclesfield, Cheshire are looking to add their team! Due to their continued growth and a very healthy order book, an opportunity is nopw available for a qualified, experienced full time Gas Engineer to join their company. They work across a diverse range of sectors in the Northwest including health care, education, pharmaceutical, commercial, and domestic.
The Role and its Responsibilities
Duties include but not limited to:
- Responsible for the effective servicing and maintenance of domestic gas appliances, plumbing and heating systems
- To work individually or as part of a team to complete gas appliance, plumbing and heating repairs/installations to a high standard
- Provide clients with correct advice to ensure ongoing safety and efficiency of their gas appliance, plumbing and heating
- To comply with Gas Safety Standards
- To comply with company standards
- Must be happy doing gas and plumbing works as there is an element of both.
- We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated and a problem solver.
The Individual
Our client is looking for a candidate with experience in a similar role and who is enthusiastic and looking for a company they can progress with.
Skills and Qualifications
- Domestic Gas Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role
- Full clean driving license
- Willing to undergo a DBS full disclosure
- The following would be advantageous but not essential:
- Commercial Gas Qualifications
- Commercial Catering Qualifications (COMCAT)
- Plumbing Qualification
- Water Regulations, Unvented Cylinders, Legionella, HVAC Experience
- Specialist Gases
- Experience with Oil
- Electrical maintenance experience / qualifications
- Current CSCS card
- Experience of managing commercial sites
- Experience of managing people and sub contractors
