Mech Electrics are currently recruiting for our client, a security system provider based in the North-West who require an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to be based in the Bristol area. The company provides large integrated safety and security solutions for mixed purpose buildings throughout the UK and is looking for an engineer prepared to travel throughout the region for the role.

The Role and its Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining security systems including remote closing security doors, alarm systems and CCTV.
• Installing electrical cabling on above applications
• Identifying and replacing poor wiring and previous install work, that may not be fit for purpose

                                                                                                  The Individual

As the role will involve you travelling throughout the Bristol area, you will have full responsibility for effectively planning working week and be prepared to stay overnight for jobs if necessary.  Some works will involve working on Ministry of Justice properties and so you will have to be granted security clearance checks prior to starting with the company.  Full training and support will be given for this role and, whilst not necessary, an understanding of the software that controls the security doors would be an advantage!

Skills and Qualifications 
 

• 18th Edition                                               
• ECS Card                                                         
• Security clearance required for works on Ministry of Justice properties – this may take some time between securing the role and a start date in the role.                                                                                                           
• Salary and package

£16-17 per hour
Expensed company van
Nightly allowance when required
Travel time paid once .5 hour away from home.
