The Client

Our client has an Electrical Installation Engineer vacancy in the Bristol area for which we are recruiting for.  The company provides large integrated safety and security solutions for mixed purpose buildings throughout the UK and requires an Engineer who is happy to travel within the Bristol area for this position.

The Role and its Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining security systems including remote closing security doors, alarm systems and CCTV.                                                                                                                 
• Installing electrical cabling on above applications                                                                                         
• Identifying and replacing poor wiring and previous install work, that may not be fit for purpose                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        

The Individual

As the role will involve travel throughout the area, you will be responsible for effectively planning your works schedule and must be prepared to stay overnight for jobs on occasion. Some works will involve working on Ministry of Justice properties and so you will have to have security clearance checks prior to starting with the company.  Full training and support will be given for this role and, whilst not necessary, an understanding of the software that controls the security doors would be an advantage!

Skills and Qualifications  

• 18th Edition                                                                                                                                                           
• ECS Card                                                                                                                                                            
• Security clearance required for works on Ministry of Justice properties – this may take some time between securing the role and a start date in the role.                                                                                                                                                                                 

Salary

£16-17 per hour
Expensed company van
Nightly allowance when required
Travel time paid once .5 hour away from home.
