The Client

Our client provides both M&E installations to commercial buildings throughout the UK. They work on projects for many high profile, blue chip companies and have an excellent, well established client base.  They are looking to secure an Electrical Designer to be based in their Bolton offices and can offer fantastic opportunities for career progression within the department. 

The Role and its Responsibilities

• Design of lighting/emergency lighting
• Working with HV/LV power design
• Building Services Systems
• Working with industry relevant design tools
• Planning and coordination of electrical building services

The Individual

As there will be occasional travel with the Electrical Designer role, the company are looking for a flexible candidate who has excellent interpersonal skills. You must be methodical and organised in your work and be able to solve problems effectively. 

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience
• Ideally HNC in Building Services and degree in Electrical Engineering (although candidates will be considered on experience in similar role)
• Strong leadership qualities
• IT skills including Amtech, Dialux, AutoCAD etc
• Knowledge of lighting design and energy performance in built environment

Salary and Package

• The client is offering up to £50K for the Electrical Designer role
