Our client specialises in the design and installation of M&E services and can provide award winning bespoke packages for their customers. They have a vacancy for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join its team in York.



The Roles and its Responsibilities



​As a time served Electrical Design Engineer you will offer support to the Estimating team and will bring to the role experience in the following areas:

• Successful workings of tenders, red pen designs and creating the design profile for projects
• Background in designing good variety of projects
• Preparation of drawings, designs, and documents to set specifications whilst adhering to all regulations.
• Produce design documents which are cost effective and efficient
• Running projects from the initial design phase to completion whilst keeping within the schedule and budget constraints.
• Accurate calculations.
• Managing resources.
• Working alongside the mechanical team to ensure an excellent finalised project.

The Individual 



We are currently recruiting for a proficient Electrical Design Engineer who will fit in well with our clients' design team. You must be confident with your communication skills as collaboration between colleagues will be top priority to attain the companies’ high standards expected. A creative, focused candidate who can produce innovative designs of a high standard would be a welcome applicant!



Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar (HNC/ HND) 
• Experienced in relevant industry software packages
• Good understanding of current building regulations required.
