The Client

Specialising in sustainable energy systems our award winning client has a vacancy for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join its Manchester team on a technically challenging decentralised energy network project. The company works with both public and private clients, including many blue chip companies to deliver fully integrated, sustainable solutions.

The Role and its Responsibilities

The role will be based around writing specifications and completing detailed design drawings on a full range of electrical building services.

• You will be dealing with technically challenging projects in exciting sectors such as pharmaceutical and critical systems.
• Ability to assess the design brief from the Technical Manager and progress to design detailed electrical solutions suitable for the clients requirements.
• You will be involved with client interfacing, attending design team meetings and ultimately taking responsibility for projects from inception to completion.
• You will be a good communicator and will be able to explain the reasons for taking design decisions to the relevant client contacts

The Individual

A suitable applicant will have design experience, and be confident in the role. 

Skills and Qualifications

Good IT skills and be familiar with Amtech, Hevacomp and AutoCad.
Experienced in a similar role
