We are recruiting on behalf of a National Building Services contractor who are due to site in early March to construct a multi million pound construction project in Rugby.
We have recruited for the contractor for over a decade, and they are looking to interview this coming week and get someone involved with the project asap.
The Role and its Responsibilities
- Our client require a Document Controller who can also look after the engineering administration and will be based on the site for the next 14 months, the role being pivotal to the project.
- You will provide full support to the engineering team ensuring that all current drawings, specs and other relevant documents are filed, maintained and issued when required.
- You will manage the electronic correspondence, document storage transmittal systems and procedures.
- You will support the maintenance of assumptions log, issues log and change log.
- Work with the engineers to assist with their administration, help with documentation collation, the gathering of information and generally being on hand for any administrative functions. This is an additional skill set and training can be given to a candidate happy to add this skill to their CV.
The Individual
- You will have an excellent working history of document control as you will be at the centre of the engineering team.
- Good communication skills to discuss the documentation, it’s whereabouts and a real understanding of the whole site documentation.
Our client is using Viewpoint 4P, if you have previous experience of using 4P, it would be a bonus, however, the client is happy to offer complete training of 4P for the right person; being able to demonstrate using different systems and the ability to pick up next computer packages is a real head start for this role!
