The Client
Our client, a successful Midlands-based M&E Contractor, is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to head up their commercial team. The company provide integrated building services and standalone mechanical or electrical services from the design through to the installation of works.  
They have extensive experience in delivering M&E projects within diverse sectors including health and education and have a very healthy order book with many projects in the pipeline! 

The Role and its Responsibilities

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for all commercial & contractual functions  and will be required to assist in the development and implementation of overall strategy, growth and profitability.

• You will be required  to minimize risk and maximize operational performance of contracts
• You will be required to commercially review bids and assist in finalizing conditions of contract for new work
• You will provide accurate and timely commercial information
• To provide support to the Operation’s team for more complex negotiations and dispute/claim resolutions
• Input into Management Reports and attend board meetings
• To, prepare and or provide advice on the preparation of variations to contract
• Monitor and maintain commercial team performance
• Attend and contribute to internal meetings as required

The Individual

A suitable candidate will be experienced in the delivery of complex projects; ideally having worked for a Mechanical and Electrical contractor and have demonstrable experience of dealing with multiple clients, forms of contract and methods of measurement.  You will have strong commercial negotiation skills and be experienced at managing and leading a team to achieve multiple objectives

Skills and Qualifications

Ideally be degree-qualified with a sound business and strategic awareness, with effective teamwork and leadership skills, excellent influencing and negotiation skills and a proven record of achieving results

Salary and Package

Our client can offer an excellent salary of £70-80 K plus package for this role
