The Client 

Our client is a family run business within the building services industry who have been operating since the 1930's, and have 3 divisions, Home, Land & Partnership. We are looking on their behalf for an Assistant M&E Project Engineer who has ideally a degree in electrical engineering or at least a HND and a passion for the industry. 

The Role and its Responsbilities

  • Development of the construction programme, working alongside the senior project team, to develop a comprehensive programme of work, that both in house employees and external contractors will work towards during the project life-cycle.
  • Seek to optimise company return, buy avoiding waste, via overspending, inefficiencies, avoiding poor decisions around ordering materials that are not suitable for the project and keeping as close to the sequence of build as possible, so time is adhered to and there is minimal down time during the project
  • Filling out M&E Progress reports
  • Ensuring site presentation, site security and health and safety of everyone on site is maintained correctly.
  • Managing sub-contractors, ensuring their work is prioritised and to the standard required by the Main Contractor and client.
  • Being accountable for the project, liaising with the senior team and making decisions on when sub-contractors can commence on site and working out the logistics of materials and off site engineering products are delivered to site for installation at the optimum time of the construction phase.
