The Client

Our client is a specialist design and manufacturer of high security doors and they provide bespoke solutions throughout the world to high profile companies. They have a temp to perm or interim Accounts Assistant role available and this will be an office based postion in the Bolton area. 
You will support the Finance Team and be repsonsible for ensuring the accounting service through the purchase ledger, adhering to the Delegation of Authority. 

The Role and its Responsibilities

  • Accurate maintenance of the purchase ledger 
  • Follow up with outstanding invoices
  • Pay suppliers to T&C's
  • Resolve purchase ledger queries
  • Monthly closures of purchase ledgers
  • Prepare and enter payments through bank
  • Subcontractors tax return completions, monthly
  • Manage Invoices
  • Timesheet logs
  • Allocate reciepts and sales invoices
  • Weekly Cashflow Forecast
  • Credit checks for customer and suppliers
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Journals to Sage
  • Assist with preparation of management accounts 

The Individual

The company is looking to review CV's from candidates who have a strong customer service focus and who can build and maintain relationships with both staff and clients. You must be affable and hardworking, with the ability to work well with the team keeping to tight timescales and deadlines. Your work must be accurate and orderly and you should have previous experience in a similar role. 

Skills and Qualifications

  • MS Windows-based software package experience
  • Meticulous and methodical in your work
  • AAT studier (not essential)
  • SAGE Line 50 (preferred)
  • Previous experience with in an Accounts Assistant role

Salary and Package

£20-24K depending on experience.
