The Client 

Our client are a rapidly growing company who specialise in the field of renewable energy and are growing year on year. They have a requirement for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to work on a solar project in the north west area of  Manchester and this role would suit an Engineer who is keen to progress to a Senior role. CV's from candidates who are experienced in a building services or energy background will be considered.   
 
The Role and its Responsibilities

• Management of the project from start to completion
• Support of all technical aspects of the mechanical installation
• Interpretation and adaptation of designs
• Ensure a good working relationship alongside the lead electrical project engineer 
• Reporting to the Project Manager on works
• Ensurance that all work is carried out in a safe manner and as laid out in contracts 
• Regular attendance of meetings with the client 
• Keep the ongoing project to cost and time allocation and understand the budget of the project at any given time
• Management of the sub-contractors 

The Individual

This role needs a confident individual who can work in a sometimes-pressurised environment on medium to high value projects. Once the role is completed there will be further works throughout the UK so our client is looking for a flexible and self-motivated candidate who is prepared to travel and lodge. 

Skills and Qualifications

HND/C level qualification in Building Serives or equivalent
CSCS card
Solar experience

Salary and Package

£40-50K plus car / allowance plus company benefits.
