The Client 

Our client require a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in the Bolton area. They are a market leader in the field of designing and manufacturing high security doors and produce bespoke products for diverse clients worldwide. 

The Role and its Responsibilities

• Contract documentation maintenance
• Ensure terms and conditions of contracts adhered to
• Control and monitoring of income / expenditure
• Liaise and meet with clients, senior management and other teams on projects
• Contract compliance
• Time and budget adherence
• Ensure commercial strategy upheld
• Relationship maintenance
• Attendance of meetings 
• Support the estimating and sales teams
• Risk and opportunity management
• Report production and filing
• Payment control

The Individual

Our client is looking for a competent and confident candidate who has experience at leading meetings. A preferred candiate should have excellent communication, commercial and IT skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency. You should be able to manage your time effectively and be able to work to deadlines. They require a good team player who can also use their own initiative and who has excellent negotiation skills. 

Skills and Qualifications

• HND / degree in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum of 5 years' experience within main contracting or project delivery
• Member of RICS or similar, or working towards
• CSCS card holder
• Solid contractual and commercial understanding of JCT / NEC / ICHEME and Construction Law

Salary and Package

Up to £45K plus company pension
Performance based KPI's with routine appraisals and peer feedback
