The Client

Mech Electrics are recruiting for a Managing Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager for a UK based Tier 1 contractor who deliver D&B through to installation on projects for their clients. They have several sizeable projects in the pipeline over the next few years and are looking to expand their senior commercial team with an experienced and motivated Commercial Manager / Managing Quantity Surveyor.

The Role and its Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the commercial team
• Running projects from pre-construction to completion
• Forecasting costs and valuations
• Working on contracts, sub-contracts and accounts
• Reviewing and drafting of contracts
• Vetting tenders and contracts for sub-contractors
• Project purchasing and cost budgets
• Ensure health and safety aspects are kept to the forefront of projects
• Risk assessment and reporting
• Manage commercial performance of projects and staff

The Individual

The company is looking for a competent individual who has a background within MEP Building Services projects with either a large MEP contractor or a main contractor. You will be responsible for leading your team and providing them with career development to maximise their potentials

Skills and Qualifications

• Degree qualified 
• RICS accredited (or working towards)
• Previous experience of managing commercial teams

Salary and Package

£75-80K plus company package and car / allowance. 
Pension with up to 8% company contribution.
