The Client

Our client is a leading M&E, construction and infrastructure company who offer a fully comprehensive service to both the private and public sectors throughout both the UK and further afield. With an extensive network throughout the UK it can offer a suitable candidate excellent scope for career progression and they have a current requirement for a Senior Design Manager to join a major new build M&E project in York. The role can be flexible in terms of working location however site and office visits will be required.  

The Role and its Responsibilities

• Overall management of MEP design and programme
• Ensure the successful design and delivery of projects
• Co-ordination of design teams
• To ensure projects exceed expectations on cost and quality
• Effectively manage the design team including staff mentoring and improvement
• Maintain documents throughout lifespan of works
• Ensure projects meet requirements for H&S, Quality, and any other relevant policies
• Management of design tender fees
• Professional presentation on Company’s behalf when meeting with clients.

The Individual

The successful candidate will have excellent management and leadership qualities. You will be able to communicate successfully with staff and stakeholders and to confidently present yourself, the project and the company at meetings and presentations.

Skills and Qualifications

• Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Good solid knowledge of MEP systems
• MEP industry experience 

Salary and Package

£83-85K per annum, plus package and car/allowance
