The Client

Our client is looking to secure a temp to permanent or interim Assistant Accountant to work at their offices in Bolton. They are a design and manufacturer of high spec security doors and a market leader in their field and have and excellent industry reputation in their field!

The Role and its Responsibilities

• Accurate reporting and uploading of contract hours, stock, materials and GRNI to projetcs
• Provide month-end cost reports
• Payroll
• Ensure accurate cash flow
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Accurate entries of payments, expenses etc.
• Production and submittal of VAT and CIS returns
• P&L reporting for B-Tech and Aftersales departments
• Support RDEC and Audit annual activities

The Individual

The client is looking for a candidate who can provide accurate and on time information when required and who can demonstrate an excellent understanding of budgetary variances. You must be a good team worker and ensure you collaborate effectively with co-workers on projects but also be able to work independently, setting workloads and targets.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in an Assistant Accountant role
• Working knowledge of advanced accounting
• IT skills – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Sage Line 50 and Progress Plus would be beneficial
• ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification being studied towards

Salary and Package 

£31-34K dependant on experience
