The Client

Our client is a provider of building services to a wide range of sectors which include schools, sports stadiums and food manufacturers. Working throughout the UK, they currently have a high value project in Manchester City Centre which requires a Mechanical Project Engineer for a period of 14 months. 

The Role and its Responsibilities

• Support of all technical aspects of the mechanical installation
• Interpretation and adaptation of designs
• Ensure a good working relationship alongside the electrical project engineer 
• Reporting to the Project Manager on works
• Ensurance that all work is carried out in a safe manner and as laid out in contracts 
• Regular attendance of meetings with the client 
• Keep the ongoing project to cost and time allocation and understand the budget of the project at any given time
• Management of the sub-contractors 

The Individual

This role needs a confident individual who can work in a sometimes-pressurised environment on a high value, £15M project. The company require a team player and leader for this role. 

Skills and Qualifications

• HNC/D level qualification in Building Services Engineering or equivalent
• Working knowledge of the role on a high value project
• CSCS card
