The Client

Our client delivers fully project managed M&E services throughout the UK and has many individual regional offices that can provide local expertise with their workforces and they are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Project Engineer to be based in the York area. They provide tailor made projects within a variety of sectors and specialise in hotel and student accomodations. Offering full project management throughout the lifespan of projects from the design stage to ongoing maintainance, our client delivers a one stop shop service nationwide. 

The Role and its Responsibilities

• Working on designs at the initial and ongoing phases to improve the results for both client and company and contributing to a more financially sound outcome for all parties
• Commercial awareness
• Working knowledge of supply chains, legislations, and sub-contractors
• Successful record of co-ordination, delivery, and handover of projects
• Management of budget and timeframes of works
• Overseeing of Health and Safety throughout works
• Successful working relationships with Electrical counterpart 
• Management of staff and sub-contractors, suppliers and materials
• Ability to support the site teams confidently
• Build relationships at all levels on major projects

The Individual

Our client is looking for a motivated, time served candidate who is able to communicate effectively in this role. You must be a great team worker with an in-depth knowledge of the industry and the ability to communicate effectively.   

Skills and Qualifications

• HNC level qualification, or equivalent, in Building Services Engineering
• Solid experience in a similar role
• CSCS card

Salary and Package

The client is offering an excellent salary of up to £54K plus a car allowance.
